It is with my utmost pleasure that I present you with the sixth—also the final—newsletter of 2024 from the VinFuture Foundation.
As 2024 draws to a close, I am delighted to report on the successful organization of the 2024 VinFuture Prize Award Ceremony. On December 6th, this remarkable event was held in the magnificent Ho Guom Opera House, graced by the presence of esteemed Vietnamese government leaders, led by the Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with world-leading scientists and technologists, whose groundbreaking innovations have empowered humanity’s “resilient rebound,” shaping a sustainable and prosperous future.
In addition to the esteemed Award Ceremony, the 2024 VinFuture Sci-Tech Week, held from December 4th to 7th, featured a diverse program of engaging events. Key highlights included the “Science for Life” Symposia (December 4th & 5th), the “VinFuture Discovery Talk Series” (December 4th – 6th), and “A Dialogue with the 2024 VinFuture Prize Laureates” (December 7th). We warmly invite you to refer to pages 9 to 15 of this newsletter for additional in-depth information about these exceptional individuals.
The year 2024 witnessed significant strides by the VinFuture Foundation in fostering global scientific collaboration and bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and the public. This was achieved through a series of impactful initiatives, including the insightful InnovaTalk webinars, collaborative InnovaConnect events, and the engaging “Unveil the Future” podcast.
As we conclude 2024, the VinFuture Prize is pleased to announce the opening of the nomination period for the 2025 VinFuture Prize. The official call for nominations will be launched on January 22nd, 2025, at 2:00 PM Hanoi time (GMT+7) and will remain open until April 17th, 2025, at 2:00 PM Hanoi time. We invite potential nominators to submit their nominations through our online portal: https://online.vinfutureprize.org/nomination.
